Problem with family and friends that think I can lead them to “Instant Spanish.”?

I have studied Spanish in the USA and Mexico since 1977. Have taken a test given to classroom teachers and scored near-native level fluency. Have family and friends that think the way I speak is “easy” and that I should be able to teach them. I have medical conditions; however, that would not make the ‘juice worth the squeeze’; that is be beneficial to teach them. Should I tell them to consult with Community College which is the method that turned me on? My high school teacher taught the same way. Language first then the grammar. I KNOW the traditional way some teachers use is frustrating. I have no idea why some of these people wish to learn a language? While am sure have the knowledge and skills, do not believe I have the ability to carry through. Your thoughts.

As you have no doubt discovered, learning a foreign language is much like learning a new musical instrument. It requires learning new habits and takes a lot of practice before a person can gain significant fluency.
